Farooq Abdullah Discharged from Hospital After Recovery
Srinagar, Oct 5: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah was discharged from a private hospital on Sunday after recovering from an abdominal ailment, officials said.
The 87-year-old veteran politician, who has served three terms as Chief Minister, was admitted on Tuesday with an abdominal infection. Doctors reported a significant improvement in his condition, which led to his discharge.
However, Abdullah has been advised to rest for a period before resuming his regular activities, officials added.
Notably, he underwent a kidney transplant in December 2014.
