Additional Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, Sandeep Singh Bali, suspended; conduct investigation underway


Officer to remain attached to the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, pending the completion of the investigation

The General Administration Department (GAD) of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has suspended Additional Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, Sandeep Singh Bali (JKAS), with immediate effect. This action was taken pending an investigation into his conduct.
According to Government Order No. 507-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated March 30, 2026, Sandeep Singh Bali has been suspended under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The order clarifies that the officer will remain attached to the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, during the period of suspension until the investigation is completed.
This order was issued on the instructions of the Lieutenant Governor and is signed by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju (IAS).

Copy sent:
A copy of the order has been sent to the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), the Chief Secretary’s Office, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Government of India), the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, and the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, among other relevant departments.
