LOP Sunil Sharma launches a major political attack on the June 3 meeting, saying, “All is not well within the government and the party

Jammu, June 1: Leader of the Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Sunil Sharma, launched a scathing political attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the National Conference, claiming that the situation within the ruling party is not normal and the meeting called by the Chief Minister on June 3 should be viewed against this background. Sharma said that a letter has been circulating on social media for the past few days, which mentions an important meeting on June 3. According to him, this meeting is being held at a time when there are many political discussions going on regarding the government and the party.

During a media interaction, Sunil Sharma claimed that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is making efforts to manage the situation within the party and keep his MLAs united. He said that the prevailing situation within the National Conference is a matter of concern for the party leadership. Sharma claimed that this meeting was not merely a routine political gathering, but an effort to address challenges arising within the party.

The Leader of the Opposition stated that for some time now, there have been persistent rumors in Jammu and Kashmir politics that many leaders and MLAs within the ruling party are dissatisfied with the current situation. He claimed that the purpose of the meeting called on June 3rd was to silence these dissenting voices and convey a message of unity within the party.

Sunil Sharma, taking aim at Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said that the opposition has been raising questions about his political activism in recent times. He sarcastically remarked that there was a time when the Chief Minister was less visible in public, forcing the opposition to constantly question him. Sharma said that the public expects constant communication and active leadership from their Chief Minister.

In his statement, Sharma also claimed that the party leadership had previously attempted to manage the situation through various meetings and political events. He said that the political turmoil surrounding the June 3 meeting clearly demonstrates the serious challenges facing the ruling party.

The LOP also targeted the Abdullah family, claiming that they have long held sway over Jammu and Kashmir politics. He stated that regardless of the political situation, the leadership makes every effort to remain in power. Sharma stated that given the current political developments, many discussions are emerging, but the situation will become clearer in the coming days.

Sunil Sharma also questioned the government’s performance. He claimed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir today want answers on issues such as development, employment, infrastructure, and good governance. According to him, the government has failed to meet public expectations, and this is why an atmosphere of political discontent is brewing.

The Leader of the Opposition stated that the entire state will be closely monitoring the outcome of the June 3 meeting. He asserted that this meeting could prove to be not just an organizational event but an important political test for the ruling party.

However, there was no immediate official response from the National Conference or Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to these claims and allegations made by Sunil Sharma. Political analysts believe that a clearer picture of the ongoing political debate in the state may emerge after the June 3 meeting.

Currently, political circles are abuzz with discussions about the opposition’s claims and the ruling party’s potential response, and all eyes are focused on this important meeting called by the Chief Minister.
