Protest in Delhi on June 6 Demanding Education Minister’s Resignation; Cockroach Janata Party Founder Abhijeet Dipke to Arrive in India

Abhijeet Dipke—founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which is rapidly gaining popularity among the youth on social media—has announced that he will arrive in India on June 6 to stage a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In this regard, he has appealed to his supporters, students, and the youth to join this movement in large numbers.

In a video message released on Instagram on Monday, Abhijeet Dipke stated that examination-related controversies and recurring irregularities surfacing across the country have plunged millions of students into a state of anxiety and confusion. He asserts that accountability must be established in matters concerning the future of students, and it is with this specific demand that he is coming to India to stage a democratic protest.

Dipke, who currently resides in the United States, said in the video, “The time has come for all of us to unite—walking the path laid out by the Constitution of India—and peacefully demand the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. If we all raise our voices together, they will have no choice but to listen to us.”

Abhijeet Dipke informed that he is scheduled to arrive in Delhi on the morning of June 6 and has also appealed to his supporters to welcome him at the airport. He stated that upon leaving the airport, everyone would proceed to the Sansad Marg Police Station to seek permission for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. The protest will be organized once the necessary permission is granted.

Dipke alleged that the controversies surrounding various examinations, incidents of paper leaks, and other disruptions that have emerged in recent years have eroded the trust of students. He maintains that the youth of the country have the right to raise their voices on these issues, and the government must address the concerns of the students. It is noteworthy that the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), initiated by Abhijeet Dipke, emerged as a satirical socio-political initiative; however, in a very short span of time, it began to evolve into a major youth movement on social media. Millions of young people have already joined the cause, and numerous public figures have also expressed their support for the campaign.

Dipke asserts that this movement was launched not to support or oppose any specific political party, but rather to prominently highlight the issues concerning students and the youth. Nevertheless, he has consistently demanded accountability from the Central Government and the Ministry of Education regarding examination-related matters.

The protest scheduled for June 6th will also mark Abhijeet Dipke’s first visit to India. Consequently, the eyes of his supporters—along with a large number of students—are fixed on this event. Discussions regarding the protest are also intensifying on social media, with a significant number of young people expressing their intent to participate.

Notably, the Supreme Court recently upheld the decision to conduct the NEET examination—scheduled for June 21st—in an offline mode, thereby dismissing the demand to hold the exam as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Against this backdrop—amidst the ongoing debate surrounding the education system and examination framework—Abhijeet Dipke’s movement continues to remain a prominent topic of discussion.
