ARTO Pulwama conducts enforcement drive

PULWAMA,: Enforcement Squad of ARTO office Pulwama conducted a rigorous enforcement drive at Litter-Pulwama route specially focusing on overloading of passengers and over charging by passenger vehicles.

Strict instructions were issued to the sumo stand presidents to ensure adherence to the prescribed passenger limits and reasonable fare regulations.

In addition, more than 80 vehicles were checked for various offences like overloading of vehicles, vehicle fitness and other violations under MV Act and Rules framed thereunder. About 22 Vehicles were e-challaned for different violations and Rs. 50,500 is expected to be recovered from them.

Officials reiterated that such drives will continue, sending a strong message to traffic violators that non-compliance will not be tolerated.
