A unique scene unfolded in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, when Chief Minister Omar Abdullah refused to cut the tricolor ribbon (saffron, white, and green) during the inauguration of the Handicrafts and Handloom Exhibition held at Kashmir Haat.

According to reports, as the ribbon-cutting process began during the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister respectfully unwrapped it and returned it to the organizers, indicating that the use of such ribbons was inappropriate for such an inauguration.

The incident briefly left officials and organizers on the scene confused, but the event later proceeded as normal. The Chief Minister also visited the exhibition and inspected various stalls.
The entire incident was captured on camera and quickly went viral on social media, sparking varied reactions.
