Criminal booked under PSA in Samba

Samba: Acting tough against criminals, Samba Police today booked a notorious criminal from the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Kathua.

The notorious criminal namely Rahul Kumar S/o Ramesh Chand R/o Pekhari tehsil Vijaypur district Samba has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention order from the District Magistrate Samba. The booked criminal has been subsequently lodged in District Jail Kathua.

The repeated criminal activities of the said notorious criminal have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity in the region.

In order to refrain the subject from indulging in criminal activities, a dossier under PSA was recommended against the subject, upon which the District Magistrate Samba after getting satisfied issued a PSA warrant against him.

The arrest was made by a police team headed by SHO PS Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba.

The locals of the area have highly appreciated the efforts of the Samba Police.
