DC Poonch distributes compensation to road accident victims’ families

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today distributed cheques to the legal heirs of road accident victims under the J&K Road Safety Accident Victim Fund. The distribution took place in his office chamber, emphasizing the commitment to assist those affected by road tragedies.

During the event, cheques amounting to ₹1 lakh each were given to the families of deceased victims, while ₹50,000 was provided to a grievously injured individual.

The deceased victims recognized included Abdullah Rehman (S/o Abdul Rehman, Noona Bandi), Zareena Begum (W/o Mumtaz Hussain, Arai Mandi), and Yassar Mehmood (S/o Manzoor Hussain, Village Marhote Surankote). Additionally, Ghulam Hussain (S/o Feteh Mohammaf, Surankote) received compensation for his grievous injuries.
