Deputy CM Surendra Choudhary faces controversy over his brother’s wealth worth crores, creating a political storm!JNM journalist Hardeep Jamwal, JammuJammu and Kashmir’s political scene was rocked when the Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case of disproportionate assets against Deputy CM Surendra Choudhary’s brother, Vijay Singh Choudhary, an Inspector in the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The action has sparked heated debate in the state’s political landscape.According to sources, Anti-Corruption Bureau teams arrived at his residence in Jammu early this morning. The search operation began at his residence in Santok Vihar Kaluchak, a stone crusher and tile factory in the Bajalata area, and other locations, and continued until late evening. The area remained busy throughout the day, and residents buzzed with activity.A preliminary investigation, based on specific information, revealed that Vijay Singh Choudhary had amassed assets far beyond his known income. The investigation revealed more than ten houses, several shops, and approximately 100 kanals of land. The estimated value of these properties is said to be in crores of rupees. It is alleged that a large portion of these properties were acquired in the names of family and relatives.

Based on a preliminary investigation, Case No. 02, Year 2026, has been registered under Section 131B read with Section 132 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The raid was conducted after obtaining a search warrant from the Special Court.

During the search, several important documents and property-related papers were seized. According to officials, the investigation is ongoing and further revelations may emerge.

Following this entire incident, the opposition has attacked the government, while supporters of Deputy CM Surendra Chaudhary are calling it a political conspiracy. Currently, the entire state is closely monitoring the matter.
