Jammu Police arrested 3 drug peddlers from Bishnah; recovered15 gm heroin

Jammu: In a significant action against drug trafficking under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police apprehended three drug peddlers and recovered 15 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) during patrolling at Chak Bana, Bishnah.

A police team from Police Station Bishnah led by the SHO Sushil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and overall guidance of SP Headquarters,
intercepted 03 suspects who attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  1. Rakesh Kumar Choudhary S/o Baldev Raj R/o Bana Chak Bishnah.
  2. Jeet Raj S/o Som Nath R/o Khour Dunian TehRS Pura.
    3.Navjot Singh S/o Vikram Singh R/o Khore Dunian Tehsil RS Pura.

A thorough search of the accused persons led to the recovery of 15 grams of heroin-like substance.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 16/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation is underway.

Jammu Police remains committed to eradicating the drug menace and urges citizens to support the fight against narcotics by reporting any suspicious activities. The identity of informants providing crucial leads in such cases will be kept confidential.
