Based on reliable information about sale of dreaded Nylon thread (Gattu), a police team of P/S R.S Pura led by PSI Abid Bashir under the command of SHO PS R.S Pura Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu and SDPO R S Pura conducted raids in the R.S Pura market falling within the jd of PS R.S Pura.
During raid, Police party seized 09 rolls of Nylon thread (Gattu) who was engaged in selling Synthetic Nylon thread made in China which is banned in District Jammu.
The seller identified as Raman Kumar s/o Tilak Raj R/o Ward No. 06 R.S Pura tehsil R.S Pura district Jammu.
In this regard an FIR under relevant section of law stand registered against above said person and further investigation is underway.
Local People have appreciated the efforts of Jammu Police.
