Employees’ solidarity grows in Jammu and Kashmir, Forest Association supports health workers’ strike

An atmosphere of solidarity is being witnessed among employees in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association in the Jammu division has announced its full support to the ongoing 72-hour strike by health workers.

This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the association’s provincial president, Gurcharan Singh, where the rights of employees and the current situation were discussed in detail.

The association clearly stated that the treatment meted out to health workers and the cut in their allowances are a matter of serious concern. The decision to withdraw allowances for employees providing essential services, especially on Sundays and public holidays, has caused widespread discontent.

The Forest Association states that these employees have been continuously providing services under difficult circumstances, and such a decision not only impacts their morale but also directly impacts their financial situation.
The association also clarified that its support will continue until the employees’ demands are met. They appealed to the government to resolve this issue as soon as possible to quell the growing resentment among the employees.
