Legal proceedings have now gathered pace in connection with the bloody terrorist attack in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam. The Jammu-based NIA court has ordered the framing of charges against alleged handlers of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and TRF based in Pakistan, as well as two local associates, in this sensational case.
The court has clearly acknowledged that sufficient prima facie evidence exists to prosecute the accused, meaning the case has now moved directly to trial.
The attack, which took place on April 22, 2025, shocked the entire nation when terrorists opened fire indiscriminately on tourists and civilians. This brutal attack claimed the lives of 26 people, while injuring approximately 20 others.
According to investigative agencies, this attack was planned from across the border, using local networks. Now, following this court decision, it is clear that the law will tighten its grip on the perpetrators.
This case is not only important for security agencies but is also considered a key link in uncovering the roots of terrorist networks in Kashmir.
