Mammoth youth joined the protest march under the call of “Chalo Secretariat” against the NC government for NLU in Jammu and Twenty four thousand jobs sold by Omar Abdullah.

Arun Prabhat led a massive protest march under the title of “Chalo Secretariat” from JDA parking, Indira Chowk, Jammu to civil secretariat ( Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly). Thousands of youth from across the Jammu province participated in the protest against the Omar Abdullah-led NC government.
The youth of Jammu region is peacefully protesting on the roads from past two months, demanding a National Law University in Jammu region yet not even single stance or statement has been given by CM Omar Abdullah regarding this legitimate and just demand.
Prabhat during his address strongly cautioned the state government, to be prepared for a mass youth agitation across Jammu region if the demand of a National Law University for Jammu region is not fullfilled within reasonable time frame.
He further lambasted the Omar Abdullah-led NC Government for selling the Twenty four thousand jobs through the back door channels. It proves the fact, that the promise of a comprehensive job package was nothing but a pack of lies, written in the chapter 12 of the NC’s Assembly Elections 2024 Manifesto.The youth of Jammu Kashmir has right to know the process of recruitment; was there any advertisement, written examination or interviews.
Govt must disclose the details of the company/agency involved in the recruitment mechanism, he added.
Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Jammu East, Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu, Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West, Surinder Kumar MLA Marh, Devyani Rana, MLA Jammu Nagrota, Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, MLA Ramnagar, Shagun Parihar, MLA Kishtwar also joined the protest.
In his concluding remarks he assured the youth of Jammu region that BJYM is committed to keep up the battle of youth’s right and aspirations untill it reaches a decisive conclusion.
Others who were present in the protest were Smt Neha Mahajan, President, Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha, Jammu Kashmir, Sh Brahmjyot Satti, President, Bharatiya Janata OBC Morcha, Jammu Kashmir and Sh Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, President, Bharatiya Janata Minority Morcha, Jammu Kashmir.
