Hard-core criminal arrested with weapons by Samba Police

Samba, August 19, 2025: Samba Police has achieved a significant breakthrough in a case FIR No. 71/2025 registered under Arms Act at Police Station Vijaypur and arrested another accused with weapons. 

During the investigation of a case FIR No. 71/2025 u/s 3/7/25 Arms Act registered at PS Vijaypur in which on 11-07-2025 Police had arrested one student of the Central University Jammu (Rahya) namely Kaif Ahmed S/o Shami Ahmed R/o Barharia near Masjid Barharia district Siwan (Bihar) for illegal trafficking of firearms and transporting weapons—specifically pistols and katta—from Bihar and selling them to local criminals and also recovered a country made pistol from him.

Police has arrested another accused namely Balwinder Singh @ Goru Jatt S/o Swarn Singh R/o Ranjari tehsil Vijaypur district Samba on 08-08-2025. During interrogation and based on his disclosure, one desi Katta (country-made pistol) was recovered by Police from Rahya on 17-08-2025.

Continuing the investigation, Police has successfully recovered another country-made revolver on 18-08-2025 from village Ranjari of PS Vijaypur on his disclosure.

Further investigation into the case is going on.
