DC Ramban discusses preparations for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra -2025

RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to discuss the Action plan for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025.


The meeting was attended by SSP Kulbir Singh; ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACR S. Harpal Singh; CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Zargar; SDM Ramsoo Ghansham Basotra; AD Fire and Emergency Services, ACP, CEO, CMO, AD FCS&CA, Executive Engineers, and other concerned officers.


The Deputy Commissioner emphasised meticulous planning and interdepartmental coordination to ensure seamless arrangements for the Yatra. He directed all departments to formulate a foolproof plan covering accommodation, langar, sanitation, power and water supply, road connectivity, health facilities, and security arrangements.


To facilitate pilgrims, the PWD, JPDCL and Jal Shakti Departments were tasked with ensuring adequate power and water supply, along with execution of necessary civil works at Yatri Niwas, Langar sites, and other designated lodgment centers. The PWD was also instructed to implement sanitation and safety measures for safer Langar sites and accommodations.
The ACP was directed to submit a detailed sanitation plan, focusing on proper waste disposal and maintenance of toilet facilities at key locations in Ramban and Banihal. The Fire and Emergency Department was asked to devise a contingency plan for tackling emergency situations at Yatri Niwas Chanderkote, Langar site Chanderkote, Yatra Camp Lamber, Banihal, and other vulnerable locations.


The status of road connectivity along NH-44, from Nashri to Banihal, was reviewed, with necessary directions issued to ensure smooth vehicular movement. Planning for health and ambulance services was also discussed to ensure prompt medical assistance for the pilgrims.
Security arrangements were a key focus, with all officers instructed to develop detailed sector-wise plans covering all tasks assigned to their respective departments. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of foolproof arrangements to facilitate a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage for the devotees.
