I-Day 2025: DC Jammu reviews preparations at MAM Stadium

JAMMU, AUGUST 11: Deputy Commissioner Dr Rakesh Minhas today visited MAM Stadium to assess preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. District and sectoral officers from various departments were present to report on arrangements.

Officers present included Senior Superintendent of Police Joginder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ansuya Jamwal, Chief Medical Officer Dr Harbaksh Singh, ACR Dr Rajesh Kumar, ACG Sania Haq Khan, Tehsildar Jammu Khas Paramdeep Singh along with representatives from security agencies.

At the stadium, the DC reviewed the status of seating, stage setup, public address systems, lighting, power backup, sanitation, medical aid, fire and emergency services, parking and traffic management. He directed that the staff be briefed on roles and responsibilities for smooth execution on the day.

He emphasised coordination among departments, pre-event rehearsal, clear security protocols and timely delivery of invitations with proper seating arrangements.

All officers assured that preparations are on track. The DC concluded his visit by instructing senior officers to maintain coordination and facilitate public awareness ahead of Independence Day.
