Jammu, 15th August 2025: In a swift and decisive action, Police Station Kanachak arrested and apprehended seven individuals in connection with *FIR No.109/2025,* registered under relevant sections of law, for an assault on press reporters at Doomi.
The five arrested individuals have been identified as:
*1.Mohd.Saber,* S/O Mohd. Gami, Caste Gujjar, R/O Dub Karma Din, Tehsil Marh.
*2.Meedu,* S/O Kakka, Caste Gujjar, R/O Rajpura Mandi, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu.
*3.Ghulam Ali,* S/O Sher Ali, R/O Sumbar, Ramban, A/P Rajpura Mandi, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu.
*4.Saleem,* S/O Farooq, R/O Rajpura Mandi, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu.
*5.Reham Ali alias Rahmu,* S/O Biniya Mohd., R/O Shamg Chak, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu.
Additionally, *two juveniles* were apprehended; their names are being withheld in accordance with legal provisions (CCL).
Police have also seized *two vehicles* used in the commission of the offence.
In a related development,one individual namely *Shamma Gujjar* S/O Ali Gaur, R/O Rajpura, was also arrested by Kanachak Police in connection with ring road incident.His possible involvement in the attack on media reporters is also being verified in coordination with the complainant.Investigation is still on.
