In a major crackdown against corruption in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught an electricity department inspector red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹30,000.
According to police officials, the ACB team conducted a planned operation after receiving a complaint, raided the site, and arrested the accused while accepting the bribe. The team also collected evidence from the scene to strengthen the case.
ACB officials stated that a case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act and his interrogation is ongoing. They also stated that no leniency will be tolerated in such cases and strict action will be taken against the perpetrators.
The investigation is currently underway, and efforts are being made to determine whether any other individuals are involved in this corruption.
