JAMMU: Member Legislative Assembly Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi today visited Peer Kho Temple to review preparations for the upcoming Mahashivratri Mela at Peer Kho.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Ansuya Jamwal briefed the MLA on the arrangements being made by the district administration for the mela being held from February 25 to February 28, 2025.

Director Tourism Jammu Vikas Gupta also informed the MLA that the Tourism Department would organise multiple events during the four-day Mela, featuring cultural programs. Moreover, Indian-style wrestling matches would also be held during the Mela.

Pertinently, a meeting was earlier convened by the ADC to coordinate preparations for the festival with officers from various departments. Arrangements related to health services, traffic management, security and sanitation were reviewed.
