Samba: Samba Police has recovered ammunition and explosive substance from Chilla Danga Forest area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
A Police party headed by DySP Hqrs Samba along with SHO PS Samba and I/C BPP Chilla Danga while performing patrolling in the Chilla Danga area, received an information through reliable sources regarding hideout of terrorist in the Kawala forest area of Chilla Danga.
Acting over the information, a Police party conducted thorough search operation in the area and recovered following ammunition/ explosive substance which were concealed under the cavity of tree and rock :-
- 29 Nos. of live rounds.
- One magazine of AK Rifle.
- Explosive Powder
This suggests that some unknown anti-national elements have dumped this material acquired illegally through some medium to carry out terrorist acts and to cause damage to life and property. By the recovery, the designs of anti-national elements have been foiled and major sabotage has been averted.
In this regard case FIR NO 54/2025 U/S 13/16/23 UA (P) Act, 7/25 Indian Arms Act, 4/25 Explosive Substances Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
