JAMMU: Transport Commissioner J&K, Vishesh Paul Mahajan has issued a notice directing all school authorities to ensure the installation of CCTV cameras in school buses for enhanced student safety by March 31, 2025.
Enforcement agencies have also been instructed to launch special drives from April 1, 2025, to verify compliance. Schools found violating the directive will face action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the rules framed thereunder.
