Qazigund: At least seventeen people were injured in a road accident inside the Banihal-Qazigund Nayug Tunnel on Wednesday evening.
Officials told that an SRTC bus met with an accident inside the tunnel, leaving 17 people injured.
They said that the bus was on its way from Jammu towards Srinagar. “Traffic inside the tunnel was suspended after the accident but was later restored,” the officials said.
Medical Superintendent (MS), Emergency Hospital, Qazigund, Dr Shugufta Salam said that a total 17 people were injured in the accident. “All 17 have been referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment,” she said.
