2 drug peddlers arrested with 41.64 gm by Nowabad Police Station

Jammu: In it’s relentless fight to dismantle the illegal narcotics network from the society, Police Station Nowabad, Jammu apprehended 02 drug peddlers and recovered contraband about 41.64 gms. heroin (chitta) like substance from their possesion.

Police party of Nowabad Police Station while performing patrolling duty, established a naka at Niki Tawi near T-Chowk 4th Bridge for vehicle checking.During checking, found two persons coming from Niki Tawi to T- point towards 4Th Tawi Bridge and upon noticing police party the said persons tried to conceal their presence. This created suspicion and they were apprehended by police party. *During their personal search, 41.64 gms. of chitta (Heroin) like substance was recovered from their possession who disclosed their identities as 1.Manat Ali S/o Rashid Ahmad R/o Chagani Ranjan, Tehsil – Bhalwal, Jammu

  1. Vijay Kumar S/O Tara Chand R/o Chagani Ranjan, Tehsil – Bhalwal, Jammu. In this connection, Case FIR No. 18/25 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nowabad.
