Samba: Tightening noose against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has achieved yet another success in successive day, arrested two more drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 17 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from their possession.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a Police party headed by PSI Ibrar Mirza under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, intercepted an Alto car bearing registration. No. JK22A-6037 near Berger Paint Kikri Morh Bari Brahmana coming from Balole Khad and moving towards Jammu. During checking, 17 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from possession of two persons sitting in the said car.
Both the drug peddlers identified as Shezad Ahmad Khan S/o Mohammad Yousaf R/o Pati, Tolihallan, Sedheve district Shopian and Rashid Naseer Tak S/o Naseer Ahmed Tak R/o Batapora district Shopian have been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 11/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
