JAMMU: Jammu Police, in its ongoing efforts under Operation Sanjeevani to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse, apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 3.08 grams of a heroin-like substance in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S Pura.
A police team led by SHO PS R.S Pura, during routine patrolling near BPP Chakroi, intercepted a suspicious individual. The accused, identified as Naresh Kumar @ Kutti, son of Sat Pal, resident of Chakroi near Bus Stand, Tehsil Suchetgarh, District Jammu, was searched, leading to the recovery of the illicit substance.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 02/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station R.S Pura, and the accused has been taken into custody.
