Cyber crime unit of Samba Police refunds defrauded amount Rs 95K

Samba: Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of Samba Police has refunded defrauded amount of rupees ninety five thousand (Rs.95000.00) in two different online financial fraud reported by the complainants.

Complainants namely Rajesh Kumar S/o Roshan Lal R/o Sadoh Abtal district Samba and Anil Kumar S/o Gouri Shankar R/o Kurena (Uttar Pradesh) A/P Bari Brahmana district Samba have lodged online financial fraud complaints in National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal in which fraudsters cheated them of Rs.25000.00 & Rs. 70000.00 respectively.

A team of Cyber Crime Investigation Unit headed by Inspector rank officer under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba displayed relentless efforts and advanced technical skills, leading to the successful refunding of all the defrauded amount of Rs.95000.00 to the complainants.

SSP Samba appeals to the general public to remain vigilant, not to share your credentials online/ offline with anybody, not to click unknown lurking links and promptly report any suspicious online activities to the National Cybercrime Helpline Number 1930 or lodge cyber complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in.
