UDHAMPUR: A police team from Police Station Udhampur, while performing vehicle checking duty at Naka Point Jakhani, intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK02DM-0781 for inspection. Upon noticing the police, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot.
Upon checking, 04 bovines were found cruelly tied inside the vehicle, being transported illegally without valid permission.
All the rescued bovines have been shifted to a safer place.
In this regard, a Case FIR No. 67/2025 under section 223(a) BNS & 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
Further investigation is ongoing.
