Police Station Bishnah nabs absconder after 6 months manhunt

Jammu, July 16, 2025: In a determined effort to uphold law and order, District Police Jammu in Bishnah area has successfully apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for six months.

The suspect identified as Akash Masih S/o Kewal Masih R/o Gurdaspur Punjab at present Vijaypur District Samba, was wanted in connection with a case registered under FIR No. 61/2024, charged under Sections 279, 337 and 338 of the IPC at Police Station Bishnah.

A dedicated team from Police Station Bishnah, Under the supervision of Station house officer Inspector Sushil Choudhary acting on a non bailable warrant issued by the JMIC Bishnah, tracked and arrested the accused, who had been on the run since December 2024.

Jammu Police remains steadfast in its commitment to public safety, ensuring swift and decisive action against those who attempt to evade justice.
