JAMMU: In a determined move against drug trafficking, Police Post Sidhra, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nagrota, achieved another success by arresting one suspected drug peddlers and recovering 30 grams of heroin-like substance.
The accused have been identified as Mohd Yaqoob Dar S/O Ghulam Rasool Dar R/O Chathabal karan nagar Srinagar.
One person was seen coming on foot in suspicious manner from Bajalta towards Sidhra side.On seeing the police naka ,he tried to turn back and escape but he was apprehended by incharge Naka Bajalta morh of PP Sidhra.During personal search 30gm of Heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of accused.
On this FIR number 166/2025 has been registered at Police Station Nagrota under Section 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act Further investigation is underway to trace the source of the contraband and identify any links to a larger drug network.
This successful operation is yet another testament to the Jammu Police’s proactive efforts in combating the drug menace.
