SAMBA: Continuing its crackdown against illegal mining in the district, Samba Police has seized fifteen vehicles (15) including eleven dumpers (11) across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Vijaypur, SHO PS Bari Brahmana, SHO PS Purmandal, Incharge Police Post Rajpura of PS Ghagwal and Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized eleven dumpers bearing registration numbers JK21F-7667, JK21E-7540, JK21J-8683, JK21G-5151, JK21G-5674, JK21J-7458, JK21C-2988, JK21H-5888, JK21J-9254, JK21H-8191, JK21J-5799 and two tractor trolleys bearing registration numbers JK02DL-1079, JK21G-8797 and two tractor trolleys without numbers which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
