Jammu and Kashmir is once again poised to become a favorite destination for the film world. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has extended an open invitation to filmmakers, saying that the valleys of Kashmir are now ready to resonate with the sounds of “action” and “camera.”

During a special interactive program held in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister met with filmmakers and representatives of production houses from across the country. He invited them to shoot films, web series, TV serials, and advertising films in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir’s natural beauty, snow-capped mountains, lakes, and cultural diversity make it an ideal location for film shooting. He assured the government of all possible support for shooting, including simplified permission procedures, logistical support, and attractive incentives.

He also clarified that the security environment in the state is now better and more stable than ever before, ensuring filmmakers will not face any difficulties in working. The government’s focus is to build strong relationships with the film industry so that their needs can be understood and better facilities can be provided.
The Chief Minister, describing cinema as a powerful medium for promoting tourism, said that when Kashmir is featured in films, people from all over the world will be attracted to visit the country. This will not only boost tourism but will also create new employment opportunities for local people.
Several senior officials and public representatives were also present at the meeting. This government initiative is being seen as the beginning of a new era for the film industry in Jammu and Kashmir.
