Prachiti Bhuvad, a resident of Navi Mumbai’s Vashi area, suffered from PCOD.
In the name of treatment, a man posing as a doctor administered intravenous injections to the woman at home.
Shortly after the injections, the woman’s condition deteriorated.
Frightened, the family rushed her to a private hospital, but it was too late.
Doctors declared her dead.
An investigation revealed that the person providing treatment was not a doctor.
His name was Sandesh Pashte, 30,
who actually worked as a ward boy at a nursing home in Andheri.
According to the police, the accused is only an HSC graduate,
but he used to treat people in the area by posing as a doctor, and he even charged the family ₹15,000 for this treatment.
Following a complaint from the victim’s father,
police have arrested the accused.
A case has been registered against him under sections of culpable homicide and fraud.
👉 This incident raises a major question:
Are people still entrusting their lives to anyone without proper investigation?
👉 And the biggest question:
When will fake doctors be strictly reined in?
The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
Message on camera:
Be sure to check the doctor’s qualifications and registration before seeking treatment.
A small negligence can cost a life.
