326 days, an operation in extreme cold and Himalayan terrain… How did the army eliminate seven terrorists in Kishtwar?

Security forces have achieved a major success after a long and challenging operation in the Chatru area of ​​Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir. Conducting a high-altitude operation in the extremely difficult Himalayan terrain for 326 days, security forces eliminated seven notorious terrorists.

This joint operation was conducted by the Sixteenth Corps of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF. During the operation, the troops relentlessly pursued the terrorists in the inaccessible mountainous terrain amid extreme cold, rain, and snowfall, leading to numerous encounters. The operation, based on a strong intelligence network established by civil and military intelligence agencies, ultimately eliminated all seven terrorists, including the notorious terrorist Saifullah and his associates.

Advanced communication systems were used.
Modern technology was extensively utilized during the operation. Using FPV drones, satellite imagery, RPA/UAVs, and state-of-the-art communication systems, the terrorist movements were monitored, and the operation was successfully carried out. The unwavering resolve, courage, and valor of the security forces once again demonstrated that terror networks will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This operation is being considered a major blow to the terrorist network operating in the region. In a post on X, the White Knight Corps described the operation as “heroic perseverance” and said that the operations were carried out relentlessly and diligently in the difficult terrain and inclement weather of Kishtwar.

Working Based on an Intelligence Grid
The Army stated that soldiers of the White Knight Corps, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF, worked based on a well-connected intelligence grid established by civil and military intelligence agencies. The Army tracked the terrorists in cold and snowy conditions in the difficult mountainous terrain, establishing multiple contacts and ultimately eliminating all seven terrorists.

The Army stated that the killing of Saifullah and his associates has dealt a major blow to the terrorist network operating in the area. Also, this success shows the determination, courage and bravery of the army and intelligence agencies.
