Jammu. To further strengthen devotees’ faith in the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has launched the facility of individual havans and pujas at the Yagyashala located in the Bhawan. This facility will be available daily. According to the Shrine Board, this decision was taken in response to the ongoing demands from devotees.
During the havan and puja, the devotees’ names and gotras are recited and wishes for their happiness, peace, and prosperity are offered. The special feature of this arrangement is that the havan can be performed even in the devotee’s absence. In such cases, the puja is performed in the devotee’s name, and the prasad is later sent via post or courier.
Arrangements for the Havan-Pujan will be made in two categories.
The Shrine Board has divided the Havan-Pujan into two categories:
Category A:
A fee of ₹2,100 is set for this category. Devotees’ presence is not mandatory. The Havan is performed in the name of the individual or family members for whom the puja is registered. A maximum of five names can be registered per family.
Category B:
A fee of ₹11,000 is charged for this category. Devotees are required to attend the Havan-Pujan with a maximum of four other family members (totaling five members).
Timely Reporting is Mandatory
Devotees performing puja under Category B must report to Room No. 8 of the building before 8:00 AM. Failure to report on time may result in the puja being cancelled.
Online and Offline Booking Facility
Devotees can book online for the Havan-Pujan ceremony through the official website, uat.maavaishnodevi.org. For offline booking, contact the Officer-in-Charge (Enquiries and Reservations), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board office located at Shakti Bhawan, Niharika Complex, Katra.
The Shrine Board states that this new facility will provide devotees with a better opportunity to participate in religious rituals and enhance their spiritual experience.
