Amidst rumors circulating in Jammu and Kashmir regarding petrol, diesel, and cooking gas, the government has clarified the situation, stating that there is no shortage in the state. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has appealed to the people not to panic and stay away from misinformation.
Speaking to reporters in Jammu on Saturday, the Chief Minister stated that the supply of essential commodities, especially fuel and cooking gas, is completely normal. He said that the supply system is being monitored daily and there is constant coordination with the central government to ensure that the public does not face any inconvenience.
The Chief Minister said that rumors circulating in recent days have led to crowds outside petrol pumps and gas agencies in some places, but this situation was not due to a real shortage, but rather due to misinformation. He clarified that there is sufficient fuel stock available in the state and there is no need for panic buying.
He also stated that the government is closely monitoring the global situation, but it is There has been no impact on fuel supplies in Jammu and Kashmir. Regarding cooking gas, he said that the supply of commercial cylinders, which was previously limited, has now been increased, while there are no restrictions for domestic consumers.
The Chief Minister concluded by appealing to the public to maintain peace and restraint, stating that the government is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring the availability of essential commodities in the state.
