On Saturday morning, security forces clashed with three to four suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists in the Dudu Basantgarh heights of Udhampur district. Acting on precise intelligence, teams from the Indian Army, Special Operations Group (SOG), and local police launched a coordinated operation. During the intense exchange of fire, an Army soldier sustained injuries, prompting urgent medical attention.
Kishtwar Gunbattle The tension began earlier in Kishtwar on Friday night, when joint teams of the Army, SOG, and police cornered two to three terrorists. The White Knight Corps reported that contact was established around 8 pm, with operations continuing into the night. The Jammu Inspector General of Police updated the public via X, stating: “Encounter is in progress. Joint teams of SOG, police and Indian Army on ground.”
Both incidents were intelligence-driven and highlight the ongoing efforts of Indian security forces to counter terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities continue to maintain high alert as operations progress, with the situation described as dynamic and evolving.
