Jammu, 11 August 2025: In a breakthrough in the ongoing crackdown against theft and criminal activities, Jammu Police, have successfully solved a theft case within the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana. Acting promptly on a complaint, the police recovered ₹9500 stolen cash, arrested one accused involved in the crime.
The case was registered on the written complaint of Rajni Sharma(shopkeeper) Widow of Ramesh Chander R/O Govind Nagar Gole Gujral Jammu, who reported that on intervening night of 7/8 of August some-unknown thief stole Rs 9500 cash from her shop by breaking the shelter of the shop at Govind Nagar Gole Gujral. Upon receiving the complaint, a formal case was registered under FIR No. 183/2025, U/S 305/331(4) BNS at Police Station Domana.
A dedicated team led by IC PP Pounichack, undertook a thorough investigation. As a result, the police arrested one accused identified as Rabi-ul-Hassan S/O Alam Mohammad R/O Myanmar A/P Nandni Jammu.
During interrogation, accused confessed to his involvement in the theft and revealed the location of the stolen cash. Acting on this disclosure, the police successfully recovered the entire amount of ₹9500.
Jammu Police reaffirm their commitment to safeguarding life and property, acting decisively against such elements, and ensuring justice for victims. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
