Maulana forgot whose government is in UP, we’ll teach a lesson generations will never forget to riot: UP CM Yogi

Taking a tough stand on the incident in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday warned rioters that any attempt to disrupt peace would be met with a decisive response while saying that

“The Maulana in Bareilly seemed to forget whose government is in power. He threatened to block roads, but we made it clear: no roadblocks, no curfew. We will send such a strong message that even future generations will hesitate to riot,” the CM said at a public event in Jharsuguda

Yogi highlighted that since 2017, his government has dealt firmly with rioters, responding “in a language they understand.” This strict approach, he said, has ushered in a new era of peace and security, laying the foundation for Uttar Pradesh’s rapid development.

The CM launched a scathing attack on previous governments, dynasty politics, and corruption, saying the “Chacha–Bhatija” duo of extortion and allowing mafias to run parallel administrations. “People at the top of power bowed before mafias. The head of the government felt honoured shaking hands with a mafia’s dog,” he said.

In such a corrupt system, Yogi said, neither daughters, traders, nor farmers were safe. “When power goes into the hands of corrupt and dishonest people, they mislead society in the name of caste and family. For such people, we brought in the bulldozer,” he asserted, claiming his government had uprooted mafia rule and placed the state on a path of development

He added that UP was not inherently ‘BIMARU’ (backward) but was made so by casteism, dynasty politics, and “sick mentalities,” which encouraged riots and emboldened criminals. “Rioters were honoured inside the CM residence. Power bowed before habitual offenders,” he said.

On Saturday, CM Yogi Adityanath participated in the ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh Vision @ 2047’ event in the state capital. On this occasion, he extended Navratri greetings, unveiled the book ‘8 Years of UP Government’, and strongly re-presented the story of UP’s progress. Highlighting UP’s development journey in the last eight and a half years, he showcased his government’s zero-tolerance policy against dynasty politics, casteism, and corruption.

On the occasion, the CM said that UP’s growth story is unbelievable for those who lacked courage and feared to show their strength. Targeting earlier governments, he said they had opportunities but used them for dynasty politics, loot, and chaos. CM Yogi said that under PM Narendra Modi’s guidance, with faith in God and self-effort, his government recovered the state from being ‘BIMARU’ to a progressive state.
