Two Pakistani nationals who escaped from the RS Pura juvenile home have been arrested in Ludhiana, Punjab. In a joint operation, teams from Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab police achieved this major breakthrough based on a tip-off.
It is reported that the two accused escaped from the juvenile home yesterday evening by breaking through the security cordon. The incident caused panic in the entire area and an alert was issued in border areas. Police launched a massive raid on possible hideouts, after which their location was traced in Ludhiana and they were taken into custody.
However, the third accused in this sensational escape case—a notorious local gangster—is still at large. Special teams have been formed to search for him, and raids are being conducted in several locations, including Jammu. Police suspect that insider support or an external network may have played a role in the escape.
According to officials, both arrested accused are being thoroughly interrogated. The investigation has been intensified into all aspects of the security lapse, who facilitated the escape, and how the escape was planned.
This incident has raised serious questions about the security arrangements at the juvenile home. Accountability is also expected at the administrative level. Police have assured that the absconding gangster will be arrested soon.
