Stolen medicines worth ₹4 lakh recovered, accused held in Udhampur

Udhampur, 8th August 2025

On 05/08/2025, a written complaint was received at Police Station Udhampur from Ishan Koushal S/O Mahesh Kumar R/O 462, Channi Himmat, Jammu, stating that unknown person(s) had committed theft at his clinic during the intervening night of 04-05/08/2025.

Acting swiftly on the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of law and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation, the Police team of PS Udhampur led by its SHO apprehended one who was identified as:

Rahul Sharma @Kewal S/O Hans Raj R/O Ward No. 17, near Santoshi Mata Mandir, Udhampur.

Upon his disclosure, stolen medicine (Buprenorphine) worth approximately ₹4,00,000 was recovered. The accused has been arrested and further investigation is underway.
