The political heat in Jammu and Kashmir has intensified ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah launched a direct and scathing attack on the BJP on Monday, accusing the party of trying to grab seats through “money power, muscle power, and pressure from agencies.”
Speaking to reporters, Omar said, “The BJP has only 28 MLAs, while 30 are required to win a single seat. Yet, if they are claiming to win three seats, it clearly means the game isn’t just about numbers, but about pressure and horse-trading.”
Omar Abdullah directly challenged the BJP to contest the elections on its own strength if it wants to show “true honesty.” “If the BJP wants to prove that the allegations being made against them in Bihar are false, they should contest a fair election. Winning with the help of agencies would be a defeat for democracy.”
Omar’s statement has created a stir in political circles. All eyes are now on what the Rajya Sabha results will indicate—
Will the BJP win “by numbers” or “by the system”?
And which faces will emerge from behind the scenes, only time will tell.
The BJP can’t win a single seat without horse-trading” – Omar Abdullah’s direct attack!
