Commissioner SMC Chairs Revenue Committee Meeting

SRINAGAR,: Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed convened a pivotal meeting today with the revenue Committee members to discuss strategies for enhancing the organization’s financial performance.

The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner (Adm), FA/CAO, Joint Commissioner Planning, Chief Revenue Officer, Additional Law Officer, Estates Officer, and other senior officials of the Corporation.

During the meeting, the Commissioner underscored the critical challenges and opportunities  faced by corporation’s revenue streams.

Committee members engaged in productive dialogue, sharing valuable insights and proposing innovative solutions to boost efficiency in revenue generation.

The committee reviewed current revenue reports and explored best practices, alongside discussing potential policy changes that could enhance revenue collection and management processes.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in all financial operations, ensuring that the SMC remains committed to responsible governance.
