A major step towards making Jammu and Kashmir drug-free: LG Manoj Sinha’s call
Jammu: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a major and important step towards making the state drug-free. He appealed to every section of society, stating that the fight against drug abuse is not just the responsibility of the government, but the collective responsibility of the entire society.
In his message, LG Manoj Sinha clarified that the growing problem of drug abuse poses a serious threat to the future of youth and future generations. He said that if strict action is not taken in time, society could suffer far-reaching consequences.
He urged parents, teachers, social organizations, and youth to actively participate in this campaign and spread awareness against drug abuse. He also directed the administration to take strict action against drug trafficking and its networks.
The LG also stated that building a safe and strong Jammu and Kashmir is possible only when our young generation is healthy, aware, and drug-free. Calling it a “mass war,” he appealed to everyone to unite and face this challenge.
Experts believe that only through joint efforts by the government and the public can this serious problem be effectively controlled. It will now be important to see how this initiative is implemented on the ground and to what extent society ensures its participation.
