Following the exposure of one of the largest narco-terrorism networks in Jammu, the police investigation into the arrest of Gulzar Ahmed alias Lahoo Gujjar is intensifying. The investigation has revealed that Lahoo Gujjar used highly cunning methods to maintain contact with his masters and Pakistani handlers across the border.

According to police sources, Lahoo Gujjar used a new SIM card every time he made calls to avoid security agencies’ surveillance. He would only communicate once with each SIM card and then change it. This is why gathering information about his activities remained a challenge for the police for a long time.

The investigation has also revealed that the accused used internet media platforms such as WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram to communicate with his Pakistani handlers. Police recovered several SIM cards from Jammu, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh from his possession. Call detail records (CDRs) for all these numbers are being examined to uncover his entire network and other individuals associated with him.

According to SSP Jammu, Lahu Gujjar has smuggled approximately 360 kilograms of heroin over the past few years. The value of this consignment in the international market is estimated to be approximately ₹792 crore. Police say this case is considered one of the largest narco-terror cases ever uncovered in the Jammu region.

According to police records, a total of 27 cases are registered against the accused in various police stations in Jammu district, 23 of which are registered in the Bishnah police station area alone. This gives an idea of his criminal background and the depth of his network.

The Jammu Police is now focusing on investigating cross-border connections, identifying his associates, and illegal assets. Additionally, the hawala network and financial transactions are being investigated to root out this entire racket.

Police officials say that the arrest of Lahu Gujjar sends a clear message that escaping the law is impossible. Many more major revelations related to this network are expected in the coming days.
