Sahastradhara, Maldevta, Santla Devi and Dalanwala in Uttarakhand were among the worst-hit in the cloudburst on Tuesday, the district disaster management office in Dehradun said. Sahastradhara received 192 mm of rain, followed by Maldevta (141.5 mm), Hathi Barkala and Jolly Grant (92.5mm each) and Kalsi (83.5 mm), in a few hours.

With river levels rising, he stressed that particular caution is being taken to address any potential emergencies.
Himachal rain: Three people are feared trapped beneath the debris of a house that collapsed in Boi village, Tehsil Nihri, Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, on Tuesday following heavy rainfall, ANI reported citing police.

Himachal rain: Continuous heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district has caused widespread destruction, resulting in losses estimated at over ₹603 crore and claiming 55 lives between 20 June and 15 September 2025, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said on Tuesday.
According to DC Bairwa, the overall estimated loss during this period amounts to ₹60,310.225 lakh ( ₹603 crore). Alongside the human toll, 215 livestock deaths were reported. The structural damage includes the complete collapse of 180 kutcha (mud) houses and 27 pucca (concrete) houses
The rainfall also severely impacted infrastructure, destroying 1,388 cowsheds, 74 labour sheds, kitchens, bathrooms, and 33 shops, underlining the heavy toll on both livelihoods and public facilities.
Dehradun cloudburst live updates: Disaster Response personnel rescued 200 students on Tuesday after they were left stranded when the campus of the Devbhoomi Institute in Paunda, Dehradun, became waterlogged following heavy overnight rainfall.

Upon receiving information about the stranded students, teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the site and brought them to safety.
