Div Com, IGP review preparations for Tiranga Yatra, Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns in Jammu Division

JAMMU, AUGUST 05: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar and Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti today reviewed the preparations for the Tiranga Yatra and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the Jammu Division.

The meeting was attended by IG CRPF Jammu, DIG Traffic Jammu, Deputy Commissioners and SSPs from Jammu Division, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, SSP Security Jammu, and Heads of Departments and representatives from Industries, Education, Jammu Municipal Corporation, CRPF, Health, Youth Services and Sports, ULB, and RDD. The participants discussed various arrangements for the successful conduct of the events to be organised as run-up activities to the Independence Day 2025 celebrations.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the Heads of Departments to ensure proper arrangements by their respective departments, including flag distribution, participation of students, civil society members and personnel from security forces, distribution of T-shirts, refreshments, sanitation, traffic management, healthcare facilities, deployment of fire tenders and wide publicity of the activities.

He further directed JKAACL to deploy a nodal officer to coordinate with district-level nodal officers for flag distribution under the Tiranga Yatra and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

It was informed that the Tiranga Yatra in Jammu District will be organised on August 12. The yatra will commence from Gulshan Ground PHQ and proceed towards the back gate of Jammu University, Gujjar Nagar Tawi Bridge and culminate at Maharaja Hari Singh Park.

IGP Jammu emphasised the importance of adhering strictly to the Flag Code during the celebrations. He also directed the deployment of adequate security personnel for the events across the division.

All Deputy Commissioners were directed to ensure proper planning and security arrangements in their respective districts for the Tiranga Yatra and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Further directions were issued for traffic advisories, illumination of iconic infrastructure and Government buildings and active involvement of all stakeholders, particularly school students, to ensure mass participation in the national festival celebrations.
