Amiteshwar Singh from Jammu and Kashmir tops JEE Mains, creating history with hard work and proper guidance

A talented student from Jammu and Kashmir, Amiteshwar Singh, has brought glory to the entire state by topping the recent JEE Mains results. His remarkable achievement has brought pride and joy to the region. Family, teachers, and peers are continuously congratulating him.

Amiteshwar Singh attributed his success to his hard work, discipline, and the guidance of his teachers. He explained, “Every student has access to resources, and teachers teach everyone equally, but the real difference lies in how a student utilizes those resources. Students who interact with teachers, clear their doubts, and work hard consistently are the ones who thrive.”

He explained that after completing 10th grade, he had a clear goal and enrolled at Physics Wallah Vidyapeeth, where he prepared relentlessly for two years. During this time, he received excellent faculty and a positive environment, making his academic journey extremely smooth and effective.

Amiteshwar said that he sometimes faced challenges during his preparation, but he solved every problem by talking to his teachers. “Teachers were always available to help, which helped build confidence and strengthen his preparation,” he said.

Giving a message to other students, Amiteshwar said that hard work in the right direction and maintaining constant communication with teachers are essential for success. He praised Physics Wallah Vidyapeeth, saying that its faculty, study material, and doubt-solving system play a vital role in helping students reach the pinnacle of success.

Amiteshwar Singh’s achievement proves that with hard work, the right strategy, and competent guidance, any goal can be achieved. His success has become an inspiration for thousands of students today.

WritingAccused Dies in NCB Custody, Probe InitiatedJammu/Amritsar, March 23, 2026: According to a press release issued by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), an accused identified as Jaswinder Singh, a resident of RS Pura in Jammu, died while in custody. He was allegedly involved in cases related to drug trafficking.As per details, Jaswinder Singh was arrested on March 3, 2026, by the NCB Jammu Unit in connection with a case (Crime No. 26/24) involving the seizure of a commercial quantity of heroin. His brother, Pupinder Singh, had already been arrested in the same case and is reportedly a habitual offender with six cases registered against him under the NDPS Act in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.Additionally, on March 12, 2026, Jaswinder Singh was arrested in another case (CR-22/2024) related to the seizure of a commercial quantity of Tramadol. His custody in this case had been extended until March 23, 2026.According to the NCB, technical analysis revealed that the accused was in contact with smugglers based in Pakistan, Punjab, and Jammu. For further investigation, he was taken to Amritsar on March 19, 2026. On the same day, he complained of chest pain and was immediately admitted to a hospital in Amritsar.During treatment, he suffered two cardiac arrests and passed away on the morning of March 20, 2026.Following the incident, procedures in compliance with the guidelines of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the Supreme Court of India have been initiated. These include an inquest by a Judicial Magistrate, a magisterial inquiry by an Executive Magistrate, post-mortem examination, and intimation to the NHRC through the local police.The reports of the inquiry and post-mortem are awaited. Officials have stated that all prescribed NHRC guidelines are being duly followed.
