45-year-old Nitin Nabin has been elected unopposed as the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is the party’s youngest national president to date. Returning Officer Dr. K. Laxman officially announced his election at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the BJP’s Central Headquarters. The party’s top leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was present on the occasion. Nitin Nabin succeeds Jagat Prakash Nadda.
From National Executive President to Full-Time President
Nitin Nabin was appointed the BJP’s National Executive President on December 14, 2025. After playing an active role in the organization, he has now become the party’s full-time national president upon the completion of the election process. This appointment is being considered a result of the party’s internal democratic process.

Nitin Nabin has been elected MLA from Patna’s Bankipur assembly seat for the fifth consecutive time. He entered politics by winning the by-election from the Patna West constituency in 2006. In the recent assembly elections, he defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Rekha Kumari by a huge margin of 51,936 votes.

He then passed his intermediate examination from CSKM Public School, New Delhi, in 1998. He is married to Deepmala Srivastava and has a son and a daughter.
