SAMBA, August 14, 2025: Samba Police has arrested five criminals and recovered a country-made pistol alongwith magazine & two live rounds, a Khokhri and two Tokas from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.
Acting on reliable information regarding some persons having illegal sharp-edged weapons/ firm arm travelling in Mahindra Thar No. JK02DG-2355 and Maruti Swift car No. JK21L-1863 from Mahalshahan towards Chak Jhanda with the intention to commit heinous crime in the area, a team of Police Station Ramgarh established Naka at Chak Jhanda Ramgarh and successfully intercepted both the said vehicles. During checking, a country-made pistol alongwith magazine & two live rounds, a Khokhri and two Tokas were recovered from the possession of accused persons travelling in the said vehicles.
The accused identified as Vishal Kumar S/o Ved Parkash R/o Salehar Kothey tehsil Bishnah district Jammu, Sunny Kumar S/o Diwan Chand R/o Radwan tehsil Ramgarh district Samba, Iqwal Singh S/o Darshan Singh R/o Kadarpur tehsil RS Pura district Jammu, Ramesh Kumar S/o Rattan Lal R/o Salehar tehsil RS Pura district Jammu and Jagjit Singh @Jaggi R/o Dug Shezadpur Dera tehsil Ramgarh district Samba have been arrested. Both the said vehicles have also been seized.
A case FIR No. 59/2025 u/s 3/4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Ramgarh and investigation started.
